The City of Colusa and its leadership are committed to keeping businesses healthy and prosperous. The City of Colusa partners with the Colusa County Economic Development Corporation and the Colusa County Partnership to provide a number of economic development services. The City’s economic development loan program offers loans with competitive interest rates to both existing businesses and startups. Loans can be used for specific purchases, projects, or operational expenses. The main goal of the program is to create jobs. Our program experts will work with local banks to provide companion financing to meet all your business needs.

Uses:

Business loans or infrastructure improvements to
an identified business or developer. Eligible activities include off-site
infrastructure improvements, on- site improvements, new construction, rehabilitation,
land acquisition, working capital, equipment and inventory, business start-ups
and small business incubators. |

All businesses located in the city are eligible to apply. Must create 1 job
for every $35,000 loaned. |

Working
with the Colusa County Partnership the City of Colusa we can offer a number
of services specific to small business development. Workshops, training,
and counseling are offered on topics such as marketing, financial management,
and a variety of other business topics relevant in today's competitive environment.
The services are offered to people who are in the beginning phases of business
start up and individuals with already established businesses.
